Payouts happen through Stripe, one of the most trusted payment platforms in the world. The moment your need is funded, the money is yours. No one holds it. No one delays it. It goes straight to your account.
Your financial information is encrypted and secured entirely by Stripe. United WE Fund never sees it.
Setting up your Stripe account takes a few minutes, and you will not even be able to access the submit a need screen without a Stripe account verification by our system.
Here's what happens when you submit.
Every submission is reviewed before it goes live. Not to judge you. To protect this community for everyone in it.
Once approved, you join the queue. Needs are funded in the order they were submitted. Fair for everyone.
A note on your payout: 100% of what you asked for is what gets funded. The fund does not take a cut. What you will notice is that the amount deposited in your account is slightly less than what you requested. That is because Stripe charges a small processing fee on every transfer, the same fee any payment platform charges. That fee goes to Stripe, not to United WE Fund. We receive nothing from it.
If your request is over $1,000 there is also a small document review fee paid at submission, which covers the cost of the people who review your documents. That fee is paid upfront and does not come out of your payout.
We know fees can feel like a surprise when you are counting on every dollar. We want you to know exactly what to expect before you submit.
When your need reaches the front and the fund is ready, everything that was funded arrives in your account. All of it. If your need is smaller it may happen faster than you expect. Either way, you are in this with us now.
